Glam up your Monday: Bikini season?

Happy Monday Lovelies

My internet has been very slow since Friday, because I used it all up. Wednesday it should be fixed and then I can start with my normal blog routine.

Tomorrow is the 1st of May, can you believe it? School's almost over and almost 50% of 2012 is gone. But for me that means it's June and that means it's MY BIRTHDAY ;) I'm thinking about doing breakfast since it's my favorite meal of the day. But June is (depends on where you love) the start of the Bikini season, and since tomorrow is the 1st of May that means I still have 1 month left to get in shape!

I'm very bad at dieting, because I love food. And since I stopped dancing I'm not getting enough physical exercise anymore. I don't need to lose weight, I just want to get in shape and eat more healthy. So I'm going to write blog posts about it and take you with me on my journey :p

I love the Victoria's Secret bikini's

Have a nice week!

Current obsession: Antiques Teacups/ tableware

Hey Princesses

Today I want to stay in the feel of Monday's post. At the moment I'm obsessed with antiques teacups and antiques tableware. It doesn't has to be very expensive, but don't you love the classic and chique feel to china tableware. I' don't like the over decorated ones, with flowers etch. I like the simple ones with tiny details which make it look so classic.

Every time I eat and drink out of china tableware I feel like a princess, or like high class (which I'm not :p). It makes the whole experience of eating so different. Especcially breakfast!

Just think Blair Waldorf, eating her breakfast and Dorotha serving her, or when Kim Kardashian picked out her tableware for her wedding list, Hermès, yes Hermès tableware, isn't that amazing?  Or Marie Antoinette, or any other princess, queen,....

This is my favorite table set, Hermès, It's on my wishlist ;)

Did you know Marie Antoinette followed a Macaroon-Champagne Diet, Oh god it keeps getting better. I'm not really sure If that's really true, but you see it in the movie.

So when I'm eating out of china tableware I just feel royal, it gives me the nicest feeling, instant happiness, you may think it's weird but I love it!

So what do you think about antiques tableware, do  you think it's old fashioned and something that is for your grandmother, or do you see the charm it has? Let me know!

xoxo B.

This is called Royal Doulton, and the gold you see is 22-carat gold, don't put this in the dishwasher! This is also on my wishlist ;)

The flower detail is a bit much, but I adore the shapes en detail!

Glam up your Monday: Kate Moss Vogue US inspiration

OMG lovelies

Look at this gorgeous photo shoot with Kate Moss in Vogue US April issue. The photo shoot took place in the Ritz hotel in Paris, I know right ;) It just looks so enchanting and princess like. Like a modern Marie Antoinette, I visited the Versailles Castle in February and it was absolutely gorgeous and inspiring. So on this grey, boring, fun, sunny, sleepy, whatever Monday you have let these photos inspire you, and live your week like a princess, like a modern Marie Antoinette.

This looks just like the end of a perfect day for me!

Fragrance Friday: Miss Dior Eau Fraîche

Hey Beauties

Today is time for the first Fragrance Friday! I chose for the newest exciting (and not) fragrance release from this spring, the new Miss Dior: Eau Fraîche.

My all time favorite perfume is Miss Dior (Chérie) L'eau since it's release in Spring 2009. I bought it and it became my signature scent since then.  I'm that type of person that has a very strong nose, and I've been obsessed with perfumes since I was little, I always wanted to be a perfume maker ;) So that means that scents bring back memories for me, and the L'eau one, has a lot of memories.

A couple of weeks ago I wanted to repurchase the Miss Dior L'eau, I wanted to have the big bottle now ;) But when I came in the store I saw the new Miss Dior and no L'eau. I was so devastated, the girl of the store said that Miss Dior L'eau has been discontinued and that they have the new Miss Dior Eau Fraîche as a replacement. Dior did this because they wanted that all the fragrances from the Miss Dior line become one family, not the same, but similar with some twists. They also changed the name Miss Dior Chérie into Miss Dior (as a tribute to the first one in 1947).
Luckily they had 1 bottle of Miss Dior L'eau left but I also tried out the new one. I really like the new scent, because it is in the same family, and all the notes they use in the Miss Dior family are my favorite scents. The 2 scents are similar but the new one is more powdery and they added patchouli to be more sensual and to become one family with the eau de parfum and eau de toilette. What I miss in the new one is the fresh orangy touch to it. What is similar are the Gardenia flowers. And what I really love is the Bergamot.

If you love the Miss Dior family, if you love powdery scents and very important if you like patchouli then you will definitely love the perfume, but if you're not a big fan of patchouli then you won't like it that much because after a while you smell the patchouli pretty good (since it's the base note)

Top Notes: Citruses, Galbanum, Bergamot
Middle Notes: Jasmine and Gardenia (I really like Jasmine too)
Base Notes: Patchouli

This is how Dior describe it: A youthful fragrance created for a stylish, audacious and subtly seductive woman, Miss Dior Eau Fraîche is a dazzling display of lightness and elegance.

Created by François Demachy, Miss Dior Eau Fraîche is a chic veil of freshness with a chypre signature underscored by the addition of Indonesian Patchouli.

A delicate blend of Calabrian Bergamot and vibrant Gardenia highlighted by fresh and luminous Indonesian Patchouli, Miss Dior Eau Fraiche is a sunny, springlike and eternally elegant scent.

I really like this fragrance, although L'eau is my favorite one. It's very similar to the L'eau one but it's deeper, more powdery and more sensual but still fresh and sunny! This is definitely on my wishlist!

So what do you guys think? Don't you think it sounds delicious? Will you try it out! Let me know in the comments below and let me also know what your favorite notes are in perfumes!

The fragrance is available as 50 ml and 100 ml.

Have a beautiful and fun weekend and don't forget to smell delicious ;)

Glam up your Monday: Decor: Fresh Flowers!

Hey Lovelies!!!

I hope you all had an amazing weekend! Mine was so busy. My sister is in the process of moving and I helped her with cleaning and I also went to dinner.

It's a new week, so another Glam up your Monday. Something that is very important to get a good night sleep, to study, to relax,... is your environment. If your room/house is a mess you can't concentrate, you also have to surround yourself with the things you love and things that inspire you!

This week's decor idea is fresh flowers. It can immediately change the feel of your room. If I walk in a room with fresh flowers, I immediately feel so much happier, it also gives an instant glam and luxury factor to your room.

But did you know flowers have a lot of benefits for your mental, physical and emotional health? Crazy right!

1. Flowers can give a boost to your mood: Flowers are major triggers of positive welfare emotions, it gives you a boost of happiness.

2. It has an impact on long-term moods such as a depression

3. A lot of flower extracts are used in medicines (and beauty products! Did you know rose is   great for sensitive skin!)
source:http://www.flowerdelivery.co.uk/blog/the-benefits-of-fresh-flowers-to-mental-emotional-and-physical-health.html

I don't know about you but I love having fresh flowers, especially roses or peonies. So go and get yourself your favorite flowers in you favorite color and put it somewhere in your house/room where you see it all the time. I love putting mine next to my bed (gives you an amazing boost when you wake up), on the dining table and in the living room.

My favorite flowers are rose and peonies (white, pink, soft pink) but I'm loving those typical spring flowers right now like tulips, lilies, crocuses, camellias, daffodils,...

If you are creative you can also make your own flower arrangement, which looks even more luxurious and chique! Check it out how to do that here: http://www.doseofdivine.com/home-decor/flower-arranging-tutorial-low-arrangement/

What is your favorite flower or flowers?
Have a nice week!

Get that face: Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2012

Hi Beauties!!

Yes here I am again with Louis Vuitton S/S 2012, but honestly who doesn't love the collection, and look and fashion show, it was literally the prettiest thing ever, and it made it my favorite look for beauty and fashion this spring and summer.

I just love the whole dreamy, fantasy, pastel colors, white lacey feeling. Look at that old carousel It's so enchanting! In my previous post I was inspired by the amazing clothes, but when I took a closer look at the make up, I was obsessed immediately. I'm going to name the product and explain how to get this face !

Face

The models have a very healthy looking face with an amazing glossy glow. They have healthy looking skin, and you still can see their face, it looks so natural. I would recommend a demi-coverage foundation that already gives you a glow. The chanel foundation Vitalumiere Aqua is perfect for this look, it is lightweight, gives you a dewy finish but not to much and it looks so healthy. I immediately loved it so much the first time I used it and I even got a compliment from the MAC make-up artist :)

I apply the foundation with the sigma F60 foundation brush and then blend it with the sigma F50 duo fibre stippiling brush. Then apply bronzer on you forehead, temples, and contour your cheekbones with sigma F25 brush. I love Nars Laguna bronzer.

The glossy glow is the fun part so let's highlight! I love the MAC mineral skinfinish in soft and gentle, it's the perfect highlight color for lighter skin tones and it has that pearly, bronzey color, it's hard to describe.
Apply it on your cheekbones and blend it up towards your temples, down your nose, forehead, cupid's bow and chin.

But if you look at the cheekbones they need an extra highlight color. I like to use virgin eyeshadow from the naked palette, just use a pearly, bronzy, pink,  more on the pearly side. Applying highlighter with your fingers is the best way.
For blush it's hard to tell because on some pictures it looks very peachy and on other more pink so I'd like to use two colors, peaches and pink swoon. But keep in mind applying it very, very light.

 Powder Blush Powder Blush

Eyes
The eyes are pretty, cute and simple doll eyes. Apply virgin eye shadow in the inner corner and tear duct of your eyes, use any flesh toned, natural eye shadow on the lid, like MAC brulé. As you can see the crease is heavily contoured, I like to mix buck and and a little bit of MAC espresso. For highlight use soft and gentle.

The lashes are looking so full and doll like. For a natural look use L'oréal volume million lashes on top and bottom (2 coats). If you want you can also apply fake, full lashes.
Lips

The lips are glossy, nude and peachy. Use MAC lipstick in myth and MAC lustreglass in love nectar on top.

I hope you guys enjoyed this post, let me know what your favorite spring look is in the comments below for another get that face!

Have a great weekend!

xoxo B.

Spring/Summer trend: Pastel and Neon

I'm so inspired by the Louis Vuitton S/S 2012 ad campaign and the fashion show. So gorgeous, and so me!

Hi Lovelies

How are you doing? Flowers are growing and trees are popping...yes, do you smell it too? Spring! I'm so excited that the weather is changing en the sun is shining.

The fashion trends this season are so fun, especially the color trends. Creamsicle pastels and bright neons.

My favourites are the pastels, they are so delicious, sweet en soft, just like a macaroon. I love mint green (which is huge this season) and baby pink as well as soft yellow and a soft tangerine. As for the neons I love neon pink and that neon orange, coral color.

Nanette Lepore S/S 2012

You can color block with the pastels or neons but what I like to do is keep it a little more subtle. What I do is wear eg.: a mintgreen skirt with a white blouse and baby pink accessories, or mintgreen pants with a white top and a neon orange clutch. I feel like this way you still  follow the trends but in subtle way. I love following trends but don't forget to always keep your own style !

Glam up your Monday: Relaxing bath

http://bit.ly/HvrrHL
Hi lovelies

Do you know that feeling, Monday morning, alarm buzzing and you have to get up for another week of school or work. How depressing !

I'm gonna tell you how to start your week off on a good note. All you have to do is pamper yourself on Monday evening, make Monday your free evening off the week so you are still motivated for the rest of the week.

What I like to do to relax is taking a bath and put on a hair mask and face mask.

Step 1: Fill your bath with hot water and ad some lavender bath salt, I like using the Kneipp one.

Step 2: Turn the lights off and light some of your favorite candles

Step 3: Put your hair mask on and tie you hair in a knot, I love the L'oréal hair masks, especially the re-nutrition one, it smells just like honey. Delicious!

Step 4: Apply your favorite face mask, I recommend the Mario Badescu Whitening mask, it really works, I'll do a separate review on it.

Step 5: Relax !

Have a nice week !

xoxo B.
