Fragrance Friday: Abercrombie & Fitch no.1

Hello Lovelies!

Finally I'm here with the second Fragrance Friday. I've been thinking about doing this for weeks, but every Friday I'm busy, and posting a Fragrance Friday on a Saturday just doesn't feel right ;)

I recently got this new perfume for my Birthday and I'm absolutely obsessed with it. I've been obsessed with Abercrombie in general. I bought it on my actual B-day, which I just thought that was cool, and hey, who doesn't want to look at the gorgeous AF models on your B-day.

A couple of months ago I was in Paris, and I smelled this perfume. If you smell it directly from the bottle it's not really like, gosh I love it. But I sprayed it on me and on a little card and during the day I just kept on smelling the card and I was addicted to it. I'm always hesitating whether to buy stuff or not. Since I just bought a Dior perfume I thought that 1 perfume was enough. So when I was home I regretted it so much that I didn't bought it, so then I knew I loved the perfume.

First of all I love the bottle. The shape is very classic, and I love the detailing on the side. Obviously I love the navy bow, I love anything that has a bow on it.

Second, the smell. I would describe it as a clean, fresh, feminine smell but still girly and sexy. It's definitely not the typical sultry, floral scent. It's the perfect all around scent, day and night, summer and winter. I don't know what they add to it, but it's addictive. It's a more mature scent, but still girly (but not in the sweet, floral way). I just feel very clean, fresh and I just think I smell very good when wearing this. It's my new everyday signature scent. I love it because it is very different than my other perfumes.

AF describes it as: Fresh, effortless and undeniably feminine, perfume no.1 is incredibly luxurious and uniquely carefree. af’s sexy signature scent was created by the world’s most sought after perfumers; the fragrance combines fresh peony, tangelo, white pepper, sandalwood and crisp white pine

Top Notes: Tangerine and Pomelo (Tangelo)
Middle Notes: Fresh Peony (My favorite flower)
Base Notes: Sandalwood and Crisp white Pine

I also got a lot of mixed comments on it. It's definitely a yes or no perfume, you love it, or you don't. A lot of people said it smells amazing, and others didn't like it that much and thought it was a little to unisex, which makes sense because sandalwood is used in a lot of male perfumes.

Anyways, I love it and I'm addicted, and that's what counts. I hope you loved this post and found it helpful. Let me know below what your favorite all around signature scent is.

Which perfume do you want to see next?

Hope you all have an amazing weekend!

Things to discover: My new TV-show obsessions

Hi Lovelies

As you've probably noticed I'm a huge Gossip Girl fan, It's my favorite TV-show. I also watch 90210, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Desperate Housewives and Pretty Little Liars which is probably my second favorite TV-show (I don't know who A is yet so no spoilers lol ).

But I discovered 2 new TV-shows through my friends and I'm obsessed with them after the first episodes!

The Lying Game

The Lying Game is my new favorite show, since it's a little more girly. It's about Sutton who just found out she has a identical twin sister Emma. They were separated at birth. Sutton lives in Phoenix, in a rich family and seems to have the perfect life and Emma is a foster child that lives in Las Vegas. Emma escapes from home and goes to Phoenix. Sutton discovered something in the search for their birth mother, and has to go to Los Angeles, so Emma takes Sutton's place, and discovers she has a lot of hidden secrets.

It's such a fun show, especially the part where Emma takes Sutton's place and the mystery of their birth mother,... . It's fun, girly, romantic and mysterious. Just watch the pilot and you will be addicted!

Revenge

Emily Thorne comes to the Hamptons for the summer, renting a home next to the Grayson family to enjoy a bright summer. However, it is revealed that Emily has been to the Hamptons before as a little girl. In reality, Emily is Amanda Clarke, whose father was framed for a crime he didn't commit and sent to prison for life. She was permanently separated from him and never saw him again. Now, she's returned to the Hamptons, intent on getting revenge against those who wronged her and her father, the top of that list being Victoria Grayson, matriarch of the Grayson family and the woman whom her father loved and who, in the end, betrayed him.
As she sets her plan in motion, Emily tries to navigate the upper society to destroy those who betrayed her father.

I know I totally copied this from Wikipedia since It's a little hard to explain, and the first 2 episodes where a little difficult to understand, at least for me. But know I love the show. It's kind of different than what I normally watch. I just love everything about it. I love the Hamptons, the high society the rich families, it's so fun to watch. But the mystery, the drama, the revenge, the lies just makes you addicted. They say the show is "sexy" and "sticky".
2 extras to the show? Hottie Daniel Grayson and the Style of Ashley (the party planner).

Definitely check these 2 TV-show out, if you haven't already. Let me know what you favorite TV-show is and if you discovered a new one lately.

Mermaid Beauty: My favorite Waterproof Mascara

Hello Beauties

Ever wondered how mermaids always look so pretty, while swimming all the time and rolling in the sand. Well I found their first secret!

I love summer, laying out in the sun next to the pool or at the beach, but I'm a beauty girl and I always like to wear some makeup. In particular, I love to always accentuate my eyes, and that's why mascara is my best friend.

You know those panda eyes after swimming, although you didn't rub your eyes? Been there, done that. Last year I discovered the best waterproof mascara (I tried so far) and it is the Volume Million Lashes Waterproof Mascara by L'Oreal Paris

First of all I love this mascara in general, it really separates your lashes, and yes it does give you the million lashes look. It also makes your lashes fuller, which is great since I don't wear eyeliner at the pool/beach. And it still gives you a natural more feathery look.

But the Waterproof formula is amazing, your mascara just stays on, it doesn't smudge or run down your face, it just sticks to your lashes. I cried, swam, sweated in this mascara and it's amazing.

That means you also need to get a good makeup remover, I know L'Oreal has a good one and I've also heard great things about MAC cleanse off oil.

I hope this was helpful and let me know what your favorite waterproof mascara is.

Bye Bye scary looking panda eyes.

Bronze Goddess: Review: Self-Tanners, my "Self-Tan" routine

Hi Lovelies

It's Summertime, and I'm so excited ! It's my favorite season. I love the fashion and the sultry summer nights, the beach, and of course ...bronzed skin is my key essential to my summer look. I'm the type of girl that loves sun bathing, I don't mind it's too hot I just love it. But you have to be really careful with laying out in the sun. A lot of my friends thing it's good to be sunburned, because it turn brown after a couple of days, some of them do not wear sunscreen because they think they won't tan if they have it on. This is so wrong and very dangerous. It damages your skin, it ages your skin and you can get skin cancer.

So if you want to be bronzed and pretty you better do it safe. Today's post is going to show you the safest way.... self tanner.

Step 1

Obviously take a shower, because it's kinda gross to apply self tanner when you're dirty and sweaty ;) The key to get a beautiful bronzed effect is: SCRUB! Normally I scrub my whole body, but when I already have a natural tan I don't want to scrub it off, so I only scrub the dry and uneven areas of my body. I scrub my elbows, knees and ankles and I gently scrub my upper-arm and thighs.

I use the Sephora brand body scrub in Monoï Tiaré, It's cheap and it does it's job and I love the smell it's the perfect summer smell!!!

Step 2

Time for self-tanner. I use a actual self-tanner when I want to have a real tan, so when my self-tanner fades or when my natural tan fades I'll use the L'Oréal Paris Express Pro Self-tanning dry mist. Sometimes I use it once a week, in summer probably not so much since I'm getting a natural tan.

I really love and recommend this product. It dries really fast so you don't have wait and let it dry. It has a ultra wide diffusion spray which will give you an even and streak-free tan. It doesn't have that self-tanner smell to it which is good.
The only downside: Your feet tend to get more tan because it the mist falls easily on them and it doesn't really last me a long time which is annoying.

Step 3

I let the dry mist dry just a tiny bit and then I apply a thin layer of the L'Oréal  Nutrisummer gradual bronzing lotion. I love it, it smells good, although it has that self-tanner smell, It's very lightweight, it dries pretty fast, it's moisturizing and it gives you an instant glow because there are tiny shimmers in it ;) I try to use every other day after showering.

And voila you're a bronze goddess with affordable products. I just came to the conclusion I only use L'Oréal  products, when I run out of these I'll definitely try out something new :)
I'm not doing this every week, sometimes when I'm tan enough I stop this routine for a week or so.

I hope you enjoyed this and that it was helpful and let me know what your favorite self-tanners are!

xoxo Blair

Glam up your Monday: Happy June !!!

Hi Lovelies

It has been a while that I've talked to you, and I'm sorry. I had some more Gossip Girl themed posts planned but then It started to get warm so I enjoyed the great weather and then I got very tired and grumpy ;)

So June has started and I am super duper excited, because it's my Birthmonth !!! I love June!

It's the Birthmonth of roses and honeysuckles. Roses are my favorite flowers, and especially peonies. Luckily for me peonies bloom around my B-day. Did you know they only bloom 3 weeks a year.

My birthstone is the Pearl, which I really like, It's my favorite thing for jewelry and it's mysterious in a way, it comes out of the sea :)

The month is named after the Roman Goddess Juno, wife of Jupiter and equivalent to the Greek Godess Hera

It's the sixth month of the year which means the year has gone by so fast already. I cant' believe it, and I can't believe that I'm going to be 19, my goodness.

Happy June everyone, enjoy this beautiful month, good luck with exams, essays,...! And maybe I should ask some pearl for my birthday, because Mom, it's my birthstone ;)

Gossip Girl: The Return of the Ring - season 5 finale

Hey Upper East Siders

The time has come, tonight airs the season finale of Gossip Girl, "The Return of the Ring". I can't believe season 5 is already over. It also means, this school year is almost over, crazy right, time goes by so fast.

It feels like yesterday that I was so excited for season 4 to start, Gossip Girl in Paris a year later I was so excited for the new season, after season 4, Blair as a princess. And now it's the end of season 5 and a lot of things have happened, it's just too crazy for words!

Remember this, I was so excited!

My favorite episodes from this season were definitely the 100th episode, and Last week's episode the fugitives, It was so intense and like my friend described it: "going back to the old times".

I'm nervous, and excited and scared for the finale, especially if you take a look at the promo. Will Blair and Serena's friendship be over,, will she finally choose Chuck? and so much more. I smell a lot of drama and I'm prepared for the worst!

"Some season finales are big, but this one will change everything!"

Well that makes me nervous, so excited!!!!

This week, in honor to the season finale I'm going to post a couple of my favorites from this season, fashion favorites, some memorable moments,...

Here's a sneak peek:

Enchanting Sea World fashion show

Hey everyone

So I just posted a blog post about a spring trend, sea world. I talked about Versace and Chanel. I really wanted to show you the Chanel Fashion show. It's so pretty. I love the decor and designs, GORGEOUS ;) It's one of the most beautiful fashion shows, well, this season. Watch, Enjoy and Dream away.

xoxo

Spring/Summer Trend: Sea World

© Benoît Peverelli

Hey Lovelies

I spotted this trend in a lot of magazines, and I always liked it, but it's not a very popular trend, but it is definitely in this season. I really like the trend, but I wouldn't really wear it, unless for going to the beach, or on a cruise :) Although the Chanel version of this trend, I would definitely wear.

Think colors of the sea, all kinds of blue, especially turquoise, light blue, light turquoise, white pearl. Starfish, shells (I always wanted to be a mermaid for a day and find a shell with a pearl), seahorses,...

Think Versace, the typical Versace style with prints and studs. Seahorses en starfish print, the studs are like shells.

And then we have Chanel, beautiful fashion show. The Decor: Huge shells, corals, seaweed, and enchanting sea world. The fashion: gorgeous designs inspired by the sea, marine style. Think about pearls and waves, and all the colors of the sea.

Look at the gorgeous details of pears in the hair en on the back.

Do you like this trend?

Healthy Living: Working out for beginners

Hey Everyone

Hope you all had an amazing weekend and that you feel good, I'm in my bed feeling not so good.  Today I'm going to talk about my workout routine, I'm not doing a heavy workout, but it works for me. I'm having a normal body shape, but I needed to tone down, get stronger muscles en get flexible.

Taking dance classes is a great workout and you stay in shape. I'm not talking about only taking some hiphop. If you combine  hiphop, jazz ballet or normal ballet and dance technique, it will really help to be flexible and to have stronger muscles.

I stopped dancing so I'm not that flexible anymore and I lost the movement I had in a week, and I thought it was time to do something about it.

Step 1

I start my routing with stretching. I start from my neck, to my shoulders, arms, belly, hips and then I'm stretching out my legs. It's hard to explain, but this video below is an example on how you can stretch, I also do stretches lying flat on the ground, and the butterfly stretch,...  It is more of a stretch routine, that dancers do.

Step 2
In step 2 I'm doing exercises that are focusing on my but and thighs, because that is my problem area.

Thigh raise
Thigh raise

1. THIGH RAISE: Lying face down, raise your legs —from just above your knees — so your feet are a
few inches off the ground (above top). Bend your knees, keeping them off the ground, and hold that position (above bottom). Start with five seconds and gradually work up to 15 seconds. Slowly unbend your knees and, with control, lower your straight legs to the ground, then repeat

leg bend
2. BYE BYE TO YOUR INNER THIGHS: Sit on the floor with your back straight, knees bent and legs wide apart.
Place your left arm directly over your left knee, using your right hand to support yourself by your hip (pictured left). While sitting straight, move your right foot to your left hand and hold for five seconds to start. Begin with five reps, then repeat on the other side

Kick-kick
Kick-kick
3. KICK-KICK: Sit straight, on the floor, with your right knee bent and left leg straight out (above, top). Lift up your left leg so that your foot is at least 6in off the ground (above, bottom). Hold for five seconds to start, then, with control, lower leg. Repeat on the other side

pony kick
pony kick
4. PONY KICK: Get down on your elbows and knees (above, top). Keeping your back flat, slowly raise your left thigh to about 45 degrees, with your knee bent and pointing your heel up to the ceiling (above, bottom). Hold for
five seconds. Lower leg and repeat five times or more — before repeating exercise and same number of repetitions with your right leg

Ballet thighBallet thigh
5. BALLET THIGH: Holding on to a railing or the back of a chair, stand with both feet facing forward. With your chin up, move your right leg back with the toe touching the floor (left). Then raise your right leg back at an angle (not straight back) — lead with your heel, until your heel is 12in off the ground (right). Hold for five seconds, then lower leg and repeat. Start with five repetitions and work up to 20 or more. Repeat on the other side

THIGH CHAIR
6. THIGH CHAIR: Stand about a foot away from a wall with your feet straight ahead. Slide your body down the wall, until you are sitting with your thighs perpendicular to the surface (pictured). Hold this position for between 30 seconds and two minutes
Source: Dailymail

Step 3
Crunches and setups! I'm doing 5 x 10 setups, 1 x 10 crunches and 1 x 10 side setups (each side).

Step 4

I'm not using a kettlebell, instead I'm using a large bottle of water, or something else that is heavy.
I also use that bottle of water to train my arms.

I would suggest doing this routine at least 4 times a week, I'm trying to do it everyday but sometimes if I'm busy I'll do it 4 time a week. Once I get used to these exercises, I'll change up my routine and do a new post!

Don't forget to put on colorful and cute workout clothes and to listen to your favorite songs! Let me know in the comments below what your favorite workout songs are.
